About 42Support
Support Should Feel Structured, Not Stressful
Most businesses only think about their IT provider when something goes wrong.
A system slows down.
A login fails.
A ticket sits unanswered.
Those moments reveal something important.
Whether your IT support is structured or improvised.
At 42Support, we built our company around a simple belief: Technology support should feel structured, accountable, and human.
An IT Company Serving Sandy With Clear Ownership and Follow-Through
Technology issues rarely affect just systems.
They affect people trying to do their work.
An accountant preparing reports.
A designer uploading files before a deadline.
A restaurant processing payments during a busy shift.
When technology breaks, momentum stops.
That’s why our approach focuses on three principles.
Clear Ownership
When something goes wrong, responsibility is never unclear. Someone owns the issue from start to resolution.
Communication That Makes Sense
Clients know what’s happening, what comes next, and who is handling it. No vague updates or disappearing tickets.
Follow-Through
Problems are not abandoned halfway through troubleshooting. We stay involved until systems are fully working again. Many providers promise responsiveness. We focus on consistency.
People First. Technology Second.
Businesses don’t call IT providers because they enjoy talking about technology. They call because something isn’t working. That’s why we believe the best technical teams lead with communication.
Clear explanations, honest timelines, and accountability matter just as much as solving the technical issue itself. Technology can always be taught.
How people are treated during stressful moments is what defines great support.
Why Structure Matters
As companies grow, their technology environments grow with them.
- More devices.
- More systems.
- More security risks.
Without structure, IT becomes reactive. Problems get patched instead of solved.
At 42Support, our internal operations run on EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System).
EOS gives our team a disciplined framework for how we operate.
- Set clear priorities
- Assign defined ownership
- Track progress and accountability
- Maintain consistency as we grow
Where It All Started
42Support was founded on a belief that still shapes how we operate today:
Great IT support is about people first.
Founder Collin Farmer began his career in hands-on technical support helping individuals solve everyday technology problems. Working in retail technical support and later with Geek Squad, he saw something important early in his career. The difference between frustrating support and great support was rarely technical skill.
It was communication.
People want someone who listens.
Someone who explains clearly.
Someone who takes responsibility. until the problem is solved.
Later in his career, Collin worked with medium and enterprise organizations during periods of rapid growth, helping scale infrastructure and support environments. Those experiences showed how easily IT support can become impersonal and reactive inside larger organizations. 42Support was built to offer a different experience. One that combines strong technical expertise with empathy, accountability, and consistent communication.
What Businesses Experience With 42Support
- Clients usually come to us after experiencing:
- Slow or inconsistent response from previous providers
- Confusion around who owns technical issues
- Security concerns that never feel fully addressed
- IT environments that constantly feel reactive
What they notice after switching is not just technical improvement.
They notice operational clarity.
Systems feel predictable.
Communication becomes clearer.
Support finally feels organized.
Meet the Team Behind the Work
Technology support is only as good as the people providing it.
That’s why we prioritize hiring individuals who communicate clearly, take ownership, and genuinely care about helping others. Technical skills can be taught.
Empathy, accountability, and professionalism are what truly define great support.
Collin Farmer
Founder & CEO
Originally from Grants Pass, Oregon, Collin moved to Utah in 2012, where he later met his wife, Ayisha. They married in 2017 and are raising their son, Jett.
Collin’s career in IT began in retail technical support, where he developed a strong foundation in problem-solving and customer service. His experience with Geek Squad further refined his approach to providing personalized, client-focused support.
He later helped medium and enterprise organizations scale systems during periods of rapid growth, gaining experience in both technical infrastructure and operational leadership.
At 42Support, Collin emphasizes hiring team members who communicate clearly, take ownership, and genuinely care about helping people. His leadership philosophy is simple: while technology can always be taught, empathy and communication are what make support exceptional.
No obligation. No hard sell. Just a real conversation.
